Especialista da Fórmula 1 alerta Fernando Alonso sobre possíveis riscos de ingressar na Mercedes em 2025.

Natalie Pinkham believes it may not be a wise decision for Fernando Alonso to potentially join Mercedes in 2025. The news of his move to Ferrari sparked discussions about possible candidates to replace him at Mercedes. With his contract with Aston Martin ending this season, Alonso has been suggested as one of the top contenders for the seat.

In a recent interview with F1 Nation, Sky Sports F1 journalist Natalie Pinkham expressed her concerns about Alonso’s possible move to Mercedes. She pointed out that both Mercedes and Aston Martin have similar performance levels this season, making it a sideways move that does not guarantee better results.

Pinkham also mentioned Alonso’s past career decisions, especially during his time with McLaren Honda, which were not considered the best choices. Despite this, Alonso has received praise from Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton, but only time will tell if he will join the team next season.

L’Equipe journalist Ferret was also asked about Alonso’s possible move to Mercedes in 2025. He believes Alonso should make the move, as Mercedes produces the engine used by Aston Martin and is likely to improve their chassis in the near future.

According to Ferret, it is common for a driver to move to a team that uses the same engine. He expressed confidence that Mercedes will eventually overcome any issues with their chassis. Alonso would also have the opportunity to represent another top team by joining Mercedes. However, he will likely wait to see if Mercedes improves before committing to them for 2025, as there is currently little difference between them and Aston Martin.
