Madrid Steals Spotlight as F1 Ousts Imola from 2026 Calendar

Formula 1 Unveils Thrilling 2026 Calendar with Madrid Stealing the Show from Imola

In a jaw-dropping revelation, Formula 1 has pulled back the curtains on its highly-anticipated 2026 calendar, sending shockwaves through the racing world as Madrid swoops in to replace Imola as a host city. The upcoming season is set to showcase a thrilling lineup of 24 race weekends that will keep fans on the edge of their seats from start to finish.

Kicking off the adrenaline-fueled action on 8th March will be the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne, with the season culminating in a heart-stopping finale in Abu Dhabi on 6th December. This year, the season opener will return to Australia due to the Ramadan holiday, making way for a spectacular start in Melbourne’s Albert Park before zooming off to China for an exhilarating double-header with Shanghai.

One of the most striking changes in the 2026 calendar comes in May, where the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal will be moving up to sync with the Miami race. However, the clash with the iconic Indianapolis 500 on 24th May is sure to set the stage for a high-octane showdown that fans won’t want to miss.

Notably, the omission of Imola’s Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix has created space for a revamped schedule that promises to keep viewers glued to their screens. The Monaco Grand Prix has been rescheduled to June, Barcelona’s race will now be held in Madrid on a hybrid street circuit, and the season will conclude with a nail-biting series of six race weekends in seven weeks, including thrilling stops in Austin, Mexico, Brazil, Las Vegas, Qatar, and Abu Dhabi.

As teams and manufacturers gear up for next year’s all-new cars and power units, F1 is gearing up for six sprint events in 2026, along with three three-day tests in Barcelona and Bahrain to ensure a seamless transition to the exciting changes on the horizon.

With an action-packed calendar that promises twists, turns, and edge-of-your-seat excitement, Formula 1 fans are in for a rollercoaster ride in the 2026 season. Get ready to witness history in the making as the world’s top drivers battle it out on some of the most iconic tracks across the globe.
