American Express has joined F1 Academy as an official partner. Last year, they were announced as the Official Payment Partner of Formula 1 in the Americas.

American Express’s Shop Small brand is a program dedicated to supporting small local businesses across America.

Susie Wolff, Managing Director of F1 Academy, expressed gratitude to American Express, stating: “American Express is a major global company in the payments sector and a strong advocate for small businesses and entrepreneurs worldwide. We are proud to welcome them as an Official Partner of F1 Academy. We thank American Express for embracing our vision and demonstrating their commitment to empowering women in sports and inspiring the next generation of female drivers.”

Exciting news! American Express will officially join the F1 Academy grid as a partner. They will collaborate with British driver Jessica Edgar in car #17. We look forward to seeing the achievements we can reach together, on and off the track. #F1Academy #WithAmex #MiamiGP

Starting from the second stage of the seven-stage series in Miami, Jessica Edgar will display the distinctive blue American Express brand.

As part of their partnership with F1 Academy, American Express will promote a local restaurant in Miami called Caja Caliente through branding on the car.

In addition, American Express will host an event for card members on May 1st, before the Miami Grand Prix. The event, titled “A Celebration of Women with Drive”, will honor women in business and sports. Special guests and American singer Camilla Cabello will be present to celebrate with the F1 Academy.

Elizabeth Rutledge, Chief Marketing Officer of American Express, expressed excitement about the global partnership with the F1 Academy for the 2024 season. She emphasized American Express’ commitment to supporting communities and creating equal opportunities for women, both on and off the track. The partnership aims to highlight the impact of women-owned small businesses in local communities.
