Ex-piloto da McLaren critica a Fórmula 1 por penalizar Fernando Alonso por suspeita de frear bruscamente, causando o assustador acidente de George Russell.

Pedro De La Rosa believes that the penalty given to Fernando Alonso in the Australian GP was unjustified. Alonso and George Russell collided on the penultimate lap of the race while competing for position. It was determined that Alonso’s actions, which were similar to a sudden braking, caused the accident. As a result, Alonso received a 20-second penalty for his dangerous maneuver.

De La Rosa, former McLaren driver and current Ambassador for the Aston Martin Team, shared his thoughts on the penalty. He expressed his disagreement with the decision, stating that it was unfair. De La Rosa found the penalty shocking in the context of modern motor sports, as it was not an issue during his time as a driver.

De La Rosa also mentioned that he is grateful not to be driving in the current era of Formula 1 and motor sports. He assured fans that Aston Martin is looking forward to the next race in Japan and expressed relief that George Russell was not injured in the incident.

The controversy surrounding the 20-second penalty after Fernando Alonso’s race has sparked a heated debate. Another former F1 driver and commentator shared his thoughts on the matter. This former Brabham driver believes that all Formula 1 World Champions race aggressively and on the edge, just as Alonso did. He made comparisons to past rivalries, such as the one between [drivers], highlighting the intense competition between teammates. The commentator concluded by suggesting that Alonso simply misjudged his braking point, leading to the collision.
