Antigo técnico da Fórmula 1 sugere que a Ferrari está reconsiderando a possível contratação de Lewis Hamilton para 2025 após as impressionantes performances de Carlos Sainz.

Carlos Sainz has not secured a contract for the 2025 Formula 1 season. A former engineer from the sport believes that Ferrari may regret their decision to replace him. Sainz remains the only non-Red Bull driver to win a Grand Prix since the 2023 Singapore GP. He outperformed his teammate, to whom the team offered a multi-year contract. Despite wanting to extend his contract with the team, Ferrari had other plans. However, it seems the team may have made a hasty decision as they are not prepared for the future.

Ferrari’s choice to replace Sainz will go down as one of the most controversial decisions in history. The Spaniard shows no signs of slowing down. Even after undergoing an appendectomy just two weeks before the Australian GP, he managed to secure a victory in the challenging 58-lap race. Sainz has achieved a podium in every race this season and is on track to surpass his teammate Charles Leclerc in the 2024 driver’s championship.

However, this situation does not worry Vasseur much. Despite Sainz’s impressive performances, the team is aware that there is still a long way to go in the season. Leclerc currently has 59 points, while Sainz has accumulated 55 points so far.
