Susie Wolff, Executive Director of the Formula 1 Academy, announced that she has filed a criminal complaint against the FIA regarding the investigation into her and her husband, Toto, for alleged conflicts of interest. The FIA had previously stated that they were investigating the exchange of confidential information between two parties, without mentioning specific individuals. Toto Wolff, who has been the team principal of Mercedes since 2013, and Susie Wolff, who oversees the exclusive Formula 1 Academy series for women, denied the accusations and criticized the FIA for not informing them about the investigation. The other nine Formula 1 teams also released a joint statement denying any involvement in the FIA’s initiative. The FIA later stated that there was no ongoing investigation and that they were satisfied with the procedures in place to prevent conflicts of interest. However, Susie Wolff has now turned to her social media to express her belief that those responsible for initiating the investigation should be held accountable. She revealed that she personally filed a criminal complaint in French courts on March 4, emphasizing the importance of reporting inappropriate behavior and ensuring that people are held accountable. This development comes after the FIA cleared president Mohammed Ben Sulayem of any allegations of interference.
