Antigo piloto da Fórmula 1 sugere que Red Bull deve considerar separar-se de Max Verstappen por Christian Horner.

Max Verstappen has been showcasing his skills with Red Bull since 2016. The Red Bull Formula 1 team has been in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons during the 2024 F1 season. From controversies to various other shenanigans happening within the team, the whole group is in disarray.

Amidst internal conflicts, the former F1 driver expressed that it would be in the best interest of the Austrian team to part ways with Max Verstappen instead of their team principal. Recently, rumors have surfaced linking Verstappen to a potential move to Mercedes.

Villeneuve firmly believes that, in the long-term interest of Red Bull, they should choose their team principal over Verstappen if a tough decision arises. The British leader has been at the helm of the Austrian team since its inception. While Villeneuve advises Red Bull to keep Horner for as long as possible, he also suggests that if Verstappen were to leave, the team could consider bringing in another talented driver. The 42-year-old driver is still incredibly fast and his current contract with the Aston Martin F1 team is set to expire at the end of this year.

Fernando Alonso has been showcasing his skills at the peak of car racing since 2001. He shows no signs of slowing down and if things reach a critical point at Red Bull this year, Horner and the team could consider giving Alonso a spot in the 2025 F1 season. However, the chances of this happening are currently slim.
