Ex-piloto de Fórmula 1 sugere que Max Verstappen pode deixar a Red Bull em busca de uma oportunidade melhor.

According to Gerhard Berger, Max Verstappen would not hesitate to leave Red Bull if another team offered better prospects in the future. The former Formula 1 driver shared his thoughts on Verstappen’s future in an interview, suggesting that he may switch teams after the departure of an aerodynamics expert from Red Bull. Berger believes that currently Red Bull is the main team for Verstappen, but they are facing problems with the car that were not present at the beginning of the season. According to Berger, Red Bull is now on par with Ferrari and McLaren. He also stated that Verstappen may not continue with Red Bull if the aerodynamics expert leaves the team.

Berger speculated that if the problems with the car persist and Verstappen sees other teams improving, he may plan to switch teams at the end of the season to have a better chance of winning. Berger believes that Verstappen will actively seek out the best opportunity to win races. When asked about a possible move to Mercedes, Berger expressed doubts. He stated that Mercedes still lacks speed and their car is not on the same level as Red Bull. Therefore, Berger does not see Verstappen joining Mercedes.

Berger also mentioned that Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff is making efforts to bring Verstappen to the team after Lewis Hamilton’s departure next season. However, Berger believes that not even Verstappen would be enough to make Mercedes successful, because the main problem lies in the car, not the drivers. He highlighted that previous exceptional drivers at Mercedes have struggled to achieve results in recent seasons.

In conclusion, Gerhard Berger suggests that Max Verstappen may consider changing teams if Red Bull continues to face problems with the car. Although Toto Wolff may desire Verstappen, it would be interesting to see him join Mercedes only if they can improve the performance of their car in the upcoming races, potentially in 2025.
