Former Formula 1 driver suggests that Ferrari could inaugurate ‘a new period of triumph’ with Adrian Newey in Maranello.

Ex-piloto da Fórmula 1 sugere que Ferrari poderia inaugurar ‘um novo período de triunfo’ com Adrian Newey em Maranello.

The former Austrian Formula 1 driver, Gerhard Berger, believes that if Adrian Newey joined Ferrari, the Italian team would have all the necessary ingredients for success in the sport. Berger acknowledges that defeating a team with Newey, Lewis Hamilton, and other important names by their side would be a difficult challenge. However, if Ferrari could secure this dream lineup, they could potentially return to their glory days in Formula 1.

Berger’s statements come in response to rumors that Adrian Newey could join Ferrari next season. Berger recognizes Newey’s incredible talent and his successful track record over the past 25 years. With Newey’s expertise combined with the talents of Vasseur and others, Ferrari would pose a significant challenge to its competitors.

According to Berger, other teams may become frustrated with the potential advantage Ferrari would have with Newey on board. This frustration could lead them to shift their focus away from directly competing with Ferrari and instead concentrate on battling each other. This would elevate Ferrari’s status as the leading team and force others to reconsider their strategies to remain competitive.

Berger expresses solidarity with Carlos Sainz’s departure from Ferrari, believing that the Spaniard performed well and matched Charles Leclerc’s performance throughout the season. Sainz’s departure was not justified, but Ferrari chose seven-time champion Lewis Hamilton as their next driver, which is expected to bring new energy and dynamism to the team.

Although Ferrari’s choice of Hamilton may come as a surprise, the team believes that the British driver will inject new energy into the team and potentially attract key engineers, including Adrian Newey. This would allow Ferrari to adapt their strategies and mechanisms to fit Hamilton’s skills, benefiting the team in the long run.

Berger hopes that Sainz has a successful future with his new team and wishes him all possible victories in the upcoming year. Ferrari fans are eagerly anticipating the arrival of Lewis Hamilton and are hopeful that his presence will bring positive changes and possibly secure a championship title for the team.
