Vettel confirmed having discussions with Toto Wolff, although not specifically for a seat, but for a general understanding. Lewis Hamilton also expressed his desire to see Vettel driving for Mercedes. Herbert believes that Vettel, a four-time world champion, would be a good option for Mercedes before introducing their young talent into the seat.

However, due to his young age, Mercedes would prefer to wait before bringing him into F1. In this scenario, an experienced driver like Sebastian Vettel could be perfect for the team.
