Antigo piloto da Fórmula 1 prevê que Esteban Ocon rivalizará com George Russell na Mercedes em meio a especulações sobre sua saída da Alpine.

Esteban Ocon in the center of a major controversy since the Monaco GP. A former Formula 1 driver, whose identity is not mentioned, made statements about Ocon’s future at Alpine. According to the unknown former driver, if Ocon were to join Mercedes, he would pose a challenge to the team. Mercedes is currently looking for a driver for the 2025 season after news of another driver leaving their team. This driver, Hamilton, has been with Mercedes since 2013 and is expected to move to Ferrari next year.

Giedo van der Garde, a 39-year-old individual, expressed mixed opinions about Esteban Ocon after his collision with an unidentified driver at the Monaco GP. Van der Garde praised Ocon’s ability to find pace on the track, but also pointed out his poor decision-making on several occasions. If rumors of Ocon leaving Alpine are confirmed, van der Garde believes Ocon could challenge George Russell at Mercedes. The coming weeks will bring more clarity on Ocon’s future with Alpine.

Despite rumors suggesting otherwise, Esteban Ocon confirmed that he will participate in the Canadian Grand Prix as an Alpine driver. These rumors arose after Ocon’s collision in Monaco, which led to his retirement from the race. It was speculated that Alpine had decided to drop Ocon for the Montreal event due to his mistakes in Monaco. However, Ocon rejected these rumors and took full responsibility for his actions in Monaco.

Alpine has been facing difficulties this season, only managing to score two points in eight races. The team will now need to work tirelessly in the upcoming races to earn more points and improve their position in the constructors’ championship.
