Former driver for Ferrari alleges that the relocation of Lewis Hamilton in 2025 has placed Carlos Sainz in a distressing and unmerited predicament.

Carlos Sainz has been competing for the Ferrari Formula 1 team since 2021. Recently, he signed a long-term contract with Ferrari starting from 2025. While many people are happy about this, former F1 driver Jean Alesi believes it has put Carlos Sainz in a difficult position.

During the 2023 season, Carlos Sainz was the only non-Red Bull driver to win a Grand Prix. Despite this achievement, he did not receive a contract extension and was let go from the team. Jean Alesi thinks that Lewis Hamilton’s arrival at Ferrari is a positive move, but it has been unfair to Carlos Sainz.

Alesi expressed his thoughts in an interview with the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera. He believes that Sainz will bounce back stronger and that his reputation as an F1 driver has greatly improved since racing alongside Hamilton.

Although Carlos Sainz will no longer be driving for Ferrari next year, he will have many teams interested in signing him for the 2024 season. However, he will need to have a strong performance in the SF-24 to attract teams like Mercedes and others. There are rumors that Audi sees him as the perfect candidate when they enter the sport in 2026.

Carlos Sainz has always been a consistent performer since he joined F1. He has continuously improved his skills and is now considered one of the top drivers on the grid. As he enters his final year with Ferrari, it will be interesting to see how he approaches the upcoming season.
