Ford Puma ganha mais tecnologia e um interior sofisticado

Ford has decided to renew the Puma, the compact crossover from the American brand, which now comes with more technology and a sophisticated interior.

At first glance, it is difficult to perceive the changes in the renewed Puma, since Ford has only introduced the new signature of the headlights and taillights to the model. However, as soon as you open the door, it is easy to see that the significant changes compared to its predecessor are in the interior.

Thus, the cabin presents itself as more equipped with fluid design elements in a monobloc that are combined with state-of-the-art digital screens to create a modern driving environment.

Highlighting the new 12.8″ floating instrument panel, which replaces the previous 12.3″ one, the new Sync 4 infotainment system connected to the cloud and supported by 5G connectivity, featuring a 12″ screen (the previous one was only 8″). This system is compatible with Android Auto and Apple Carplay wireless and is equipped with the Alexa assistant as standard, responding to voice commands even without a connected smartphone. Also noteworthy is the elimination of physical climate control buttons, which are now integrated into the touch screen.

The practical character of the new Puma is emphasized by a “MegaBox”, which provides an additional 80 liters of integrated storage in the trunk floor, contributing to a total of 456 liters of storage space in the trunk.

As for driver assistance systems, the renewed Puma now features technologies that can automatically adjust the speed to comfortably negotiate curves on the road or highway exit ramps when using Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control, 8 and a 360-degree surround vision camera system.

Where the Ford crossover has not undergone any changes is in terms of its engine, as it continues to be equipped with the 1.0-liter three-cylinder EcoBoost Hybrid engine, associated with a mild hybrid system, with two power levels: 125 and 155 hp. The entry-level model in the range is the only one that maintains a manual gearbox, while the others are equipped with a seven-speed Powershift dual-clutch transmission.

Ford has also revealed the new Puma ST Powershift, which features customized performance elements inside, outside, and under the hood.

Equipped with the most powerful production version ever of the Ford 1.0 EcoBoost engine, it develops 170 hp of maximum power and 248 Nm of maximum torque. The Ford Powershift seven-speed dual-clutch transmission contributes to providing a truly dynamic character, announcing a fuel consumption of 6.0-6.5 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of 135-146 g/km.

Aesthetically, this version features a roof with a glossy black finish, available as an option, as well as a black grille, side spears, exterior rearview mirror caps, and the roof spoiler, as well as 19″ alloy wheels with a Magnetite grey finish. The interior is enhanced with Ford Performance sports seats and exclusive ST logos and applications.
