Ford is planning to produce a new SUV at the València factory in Spain, as revealed by the American manufacturer.
“We are closely monitoring the evolution of the European markets in order to find opportunities to improve our current product offering,” said Ford.
“Given the changes we see in the industry, we believe there is an opportunity to add a completely new SUV to the European cycle plan, to be manufactured in València,” added the automaker.
Ford revealed that the final decision has not yet been made and did not specify which model could be produced in València, although the Spanish press has reported that it is a new hybrid vehicle.
It is worth noting that Ford’s factory in València currently produces the Kuga SUV, after having stopped producing the Mondeo in recent years, as well as the S-Max and the Galaxy minivan.
