Ford was in the spotlight at the 2025 edition of the Pikes Peak Hill Climb in the United States, an event with a rich history for the American brand, which has participated since the first edition in 1916, with a Ford Model T.
Ford brought the special Mustang Mach-E to this year’s Pikes Peak, which won in the Open Class with a time of 3m42.24 seconds, with five-time Pikes Peak champion Romain Dumas, who still holds the fastest time of all time in the “Race to the Clouds.”
Dumas’s performance with the Mustang Mach-E was quite positive, considering the adverse weather conditions, with strong winds and some debris in the upper sections, which led the organizers to shorten the course to half.
However, the time achieved by the Ford Mustang Mach-E was not enough to win the overall classification, finishing in second place behind the “French” Proto NP01, a prototype equipped with a V6 engine driven by Simone Faggioli, who completed the course in 3m37.19 seconds.
Remember that the Mustang Mach-E that lined up at the 103rd edition of Pikes Peak was developed by Ford Performance and features three STARD UHP (Stohl Advanced Research and Development) motors, with 6 phases, producing over 1400 hp of power, all powered by a 50 kWh battery of high-performance NMC lithium polymer cells.
