Ford will put an end to the Focus as early as November, and all indications suggest that its successor will be a compact SUV, which is expected to hit the European market in 2027.
According to the British “Autocar“, the new model will be produced in Spain, at the same factory where Ford produces the Kuga, and it promises to play a key role for the American brand in the European market.
The new compact SUV from Ford will share several components with the Kuga, in an attempt to reduce production costs.
Although details are scarce, the new Ford model could be based on the old C2 platform, used by models such as the Bronco Sport, the Maverick, as well as the Focus, and utilize hybrid and fully electric powertrains.
