Ford aponta ao Dakar com Carlos Sainz e Nani Roma

Ford Performance confirmed this Friday that they will participate in the next edition of the Dakar in the dunes of Saudi Arabia, with Carlos Sainz and Nani Roma, who will drive a Ford Raptor.

In addition, the brand confirmed that in Dakar 2025 they will be present with four drivers, with two more yet to be announced. Carlos Sainz will go in search of his fifth Dakar victory in his return to Ford, a relationship forged at the beginning of his nearly four-decade competitive career.

Nani Roma, a two-time Dakar winner, extends his partnership with Ford and M-Sport, after finishing the 2024 edition of the race as part of a learning campaign.

The tests of the Ford Raptor for the Dakar 2025 have already started, with the objective of Ford Performance being to successfully complete one of the most difficult competitions in the world

“The scale of our ambitions in off-road racing is unparalleled in recent Ford history and nothing exemplifies this ambition more than our challenge to bring the Ford Raptor to the legendary Dakar rally. Taking on such a big challenge requires the best engineers, designers, team members, navigators, and drivers, with Nani Roma and Carlos Sainz Sr being two of the most experienced and successful drivers in Dakar history”, emphasized Mark Rushbrook, global director, Ford Performance Motorsport.
