The commercial launch of the updated Mazda CX-60 and CX-80 is scheduled for spring 2026, having received a set of improvements that encompass design and safety domains. At the same time, the versions of both models equipped with the 3.3-liter turbodiesel engine not only meet the latest Euro6e-bis emission standards but are also capable of using HVO 100 biofuel (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil).
Starting with the aesthetics, regarding the exterior, the only news is the colors of the 20-inch alloy wheels included in the Exclusive-line equipment level – Metallic Silver for the CX-60 and Bright Silver for the CX-80 – and the replacement of the previous body color Sonic Silver with the new Polymetal Grey metallic. Inside, in the Homura and Homura Plus variants of both SUVs, the dominant color will be a light brown tone, complemented by padded leather seats, a bicolor leather steering wheel, and a dashboard with a suede finish, along with the introduction of acoustic insulation glass in the front doors for better soundproofing.

Regarding safety, the updated CX-60 and CX-80 will include the Driver Emergency Assist as standard, a feature that, operating in conjunction with the driver attention monitoring system, is capable of detecting sudden medical emergencies and taking control of the vehicle, reducing speed, and guiding it to a safe stop, after which it automatically unlocks the doors to allow quick access for emergency teams. At the same time, the CX-60 will include a set of safety and driver assistance technologies debuting in the CX-80: the Smart Brake Support Head-on Collision Mitigation and the Emergency Lane Keeping Head-on Traffic Avoidance Assist as standard; from the Exclusive-Line level, the Smart Brake Support Front Crossing with Front Cross Traffic Alert & Front Cross Traffic Braking, and the Towing Hitch Guide function will also be available, along with the Cruising & Traffic Support with Unresponsive Driver Support and the Smart Brake Support Rear Crossing.
Finally, it is worth mentioning the introduction, in both models, of the Amazon Alexa voice assistant, which allows for natural voice control of navigation instructions, entertainment, and connected features. Meanwhile, the CX-60 also gains a hybrid navigation system that offers alternative route calculations, points of interest searches, and seven years of free map updates.
