However, the model was presented in China at the end of December during “Nio Day,” and it is already known that this compact electric hatchback is aimed at young drivers and will be launched in China as early as April, followed by European markets in the subsequent months. It has a length of 4,003 millimeters, a width of 1,781 mm, and a height of 1,557 mm, along with a wheelbase of 2,615 mm.

The Firefly EV features a single electric motor, manufactured by Nio Technology, installed on the rear axle, capable of generating a maximum power of 141 hp. This e-motor is powered by an LFP battery manufactured by Sunwoda, with the capacity not disclosed, although a range of up to 225 km WLTP has been announced with the battery charged to 75%.

Other highlights of the Firefly, the name of Nio’s new brand and its first model, include a trunk with a capacity of 1250 liters, complemented by a front “frunk” with 92 liters, rear seats that fold down, autonomous parking that utilizes technology developed by Nio, as well as a turning radius of 4.7 meters, 18-inch wheels, and a weight slightly below 1,500 kg.
