Rixas e raiva explodem após a corrida mais intensa da Fórmula E

The first Misano E-Prix was a wild and chaotic race that left Formula E drivers excited. It was a unique mix of constant lead changes, overtaking chaos, and various penalties and investigations, as the 22-car grid battled for position. Although drivers generally did not enjoy this style of racing, there is a bigger picture to consider. These unpredictable races, with lots of overtaking and energy-saving strategies, may attract new viewers and help grow Formula E.

Former championship points leader Nick Cassidy was a victim of the chaos. He was taken out of the race by DS Penske’s Jean-Eric Vergne early on, forcing him to pit for repairs. Cassidy was frustrated by the incident and felt that Vergne caused the collision intentionally. Despite his success in this type of racing last season, Cassidy particularly dislikes these extreme races.

Vergne, on the other hand, also had his complaints. He felt that the penalty he received was unjustified and did not understand why he was penalized. He described the race as a “complete joke” and expressed his dislike for this style of racing, considering it awful and dangerous.

Cassidy’s teammate Mitch Evans was also not pleased with some of the aggressive overtakes on track. He singled out Maximilian Guenther as one of the dirtiest drivers he has ever competed against. Evans felt that Guenther drove recklessly, causing incidents and costing him a podium finish.

However, Guenther defended his actions and believed that the chaotic nature of the race contributed to the incidents. He acknowledged that races with three cars side by side in corners would inevitably lead to unhappy drivers and collisions. Guenther saw the race as action-packed and did not complain about the actions of others.

Sam Bird, winner in São Paulo, found the race incredibly difficult to navigate. He described it as worse than a previous race in Portland, mainly due to the circuit layout. Bird expressed frustration with incidents that were out of his control, such as Jehan Daruvala puncturing his tire.

Dan Ticktum achieved his best result in Formula E, finishing in fifth place. He believed that races should be fun and was pleased to score a point with his performance. Ticktum saw the combination of traditional racing features with efficiency as a positive aspect of Formula E.

Despite the challenges and frustrations, reigning champion Jake Dennis had a unique experience in the race. He had an incident on the way to the grid, hitting his car on the pit lane exit wall, but still managed to secure a place on the podium. Dennis enjoyed parts of the race, especially because qualifying is not his strong point, and he appreciated the opportunity to score points for his team.

Overall, the Misano E-Prix was a wild and unpredictable race that divided opinions among the drivers. While some found it terrible and dangerous, others saw it as action-packed and fun. The chaotic nature of the race led to numerous incidents and penalties, but also showcased the unique aspects of Formula E and its goal of combining efficiency with exciting races.
