For the ninth time, and in an edition that looks ahead to 2026, Fiat has won the “Auto Europa” award, this time with the Grande Panda, a model offered with gasoline, hybrid, and electric engines, marking the return of the transalpine manufacturer to segment B, which has historically been very important for the success of the Turin house. The award is from the Italian Union of Automotive Journalists (UIGA), which highlighted accessibility, design, and innovation as key elements for the attribution of a prize that also recognizes the importance of the new model for improving mobility in urban environments.
In the evaluation and voting process of the UIGA, the opinions of the 160 jurors are considered, along with the results of a public election conducted online. This award has been around for 40 years, and previously, Fiat has won it with the Tipo (1989), Cinquecento (1993), Punto (1995), Bravo/Brava (1996), Panda (2004), Grande Punto (2006), 500 (2008), and 500e (2022).
