Fiat has just announced the arrival of the new Fiat Grande Panda Hybrid in the European market, with a starting price of under €19,000, making electrification more accessible.

Built on Stellantis’ Smart Car platform, the Grande Panda Hybrid measures 3.99 meters in length, 1.76 meters in width, and 1.58 meters in height, and is equipped with a 1.2-liter turbocharged 3-cylinder engine producing 100 hp, a 48-volt lithium-ion battery, and a 6-speed electrified dual-clutch transmission (eDCT), which includes a 21 kW electric motor, the inverter, and the central transmission unit.
The additional electric power increases flexibility at low revs and during acceleration, providing a smooth and silent start as well as responsive transitions. Furthermore, this technology allows for energy recovery during deceleration.

The hybrid system offers numerous advantages in daily life. Through functions such as e-launch, e-creeping, and e-parking, the Grande Panda Hybrid can operate in fully electric mode during low-speed maneuvers, allowing for up to 1 km of exclusively electric driving at speeds below 30 km/h.
The new crossover from Fiat is available in three trim levels: POP, ICON, and LA Prima, with the compact exterior of the Grande Panda hiding an unexpectedly spacious interior, featuring the best shoulder width in its class, modular storage, and an expressive design.

The Blu Tasmania color scheme of the cabin is energized by bright yellow details on the instrument panel, in the infotainment area, and in the stitching of the seats, creating a vibrant and cheerful environment.
With a capacity of 412 liters in the trunk, the hybrid version of the Grande Panda also sees its functionality reinforced by smart storage solutions throughout the cabin, such as the 13-liter space in the dashboard, of which 3 liters are integrated into a single compartment.

Connectivity is supported through the integrated 10’’ digital panel, a central 10.25” touchscreen, and wireless smartphone mirroring. The Grande Panda also features several USB-C ports, as well as a wireless charger. Additionally, Fiat offers two service packs: Connect ONE, which includes Emergency Call, Roadside Assistance, and Vehicle Health Reports; and Connect PLUS, which adds the vehicle locator function and other services aimed at improving maintenance, such as vehicle information and alerts about the vehicle’s condition, available through the Fiat mobile app. The Italian brand has announced that in the future, additional services will be available to expand the portfolio of connected services.
