The Fiat Ducato has once again been recognized for its versatility as a base for motorhomes, an award given to the popular vehicle from the Italian brand for the 17th consecutive year.
The prestigious title was awarded by the readers of the German magazine “Promobil.” The annual reader survey of the magazine has been a key indicator of trends in the leisure vehicle sector for over 25 years, reflecting the consistent importance of the Fiat Professional Ducato in the market.
In a statement, Fiat highlights not only the award but also the growth in the number of registrations in the recreational vehicle sector in Germany, with a total of 26,324 units sold in 2024, a figure that represents a 28% increase compared to 2023.
Recently updated, the Fiat Ducato is equipped with a 2.2-liter Multijet engine featuring a fourth-generation direct injection system, optimized exhaust gas recirculation for improved reliability, performance, and emissions, and compliance with Light Duty (Euro 6E) and Heavy Duty (Euro VIE) standards. Additionally, it includes a new eight-speed automatic transmission and 450 Nm of torque, which, according to the Italian brand, allows for a 10% improvement in CO2 emissions through a more balanced and efficient powertrain.
Moreover, the Fiat Professional Ducato is equipped with a comprehensive Camper Safety Pack, which includes Lane Departure Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Intelligent Speed Assistance, along with a rotating driver’s seat and adaptive cruise control to provide greater comfort for the driver.
