The racing world is abuzz with the latest findings from the FIA ahead of the upcoming Imola Grand Prix. McLaren and Ferrari F1 cars underwent rigorous inspections, with the results now revealed to the public.

After a thrilling race in Miami, attention has turned to the inspection outcomes for McLaren’s Oscar Piastri and Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc. Randomly selected by FIA officials, both drivers’ cars were subjected to additional checks post-race in Florida.

The FIA confirmed that all inspected components on McLaren’s car were in compliance with the 2025 Formula 1 Technical Regulations. Meanwhile, the steering wheel assembly, clutch operating device, and electronic submission on Leclerc’s Ferrari were closely scrutinized and found to be in accordance with the rules.

This inspection holds particular significance for Leclerc, who faced disqualification earlier this season for an underweight car at the Chinese GP. The scrutiny on Ferrari intensified as Lewis Hamilton, Leclerc’s teammate, also encountered issues in Shanghai. The pressure is mounting on the Scuderia garage as they struggle to keep up with their competitors.

Despite high hopes for a competitive season, both Ferrari drivers have faced setbacks on the track. McLaren, on the other hand, continues to dominate, with a significant lead in the constructors’ championship. The gap between the two teams now stands at 152 points after just six races.

As the racing season unfolds, the FIA inspections serve as a stark reminder of the rigorous standards and intense competition in the world of Formula 1. Fans await with bated breath to see how these developments will impact the upcoming races and the championship standings.
