FIA Blunder Costs Alex Albon a Shot at Q3 in F1 Bahrain GP Qualifying

In a shocking turn of events at the F1 2025 Bahrain Grand Prix qualifying session, Alex Albon was robbed of a chance to compete in Q3 due to a critical error by the FIA. The Williams driver was unjustly eliminated in 16th place, while Nico Hulkenberg should have been the one out instead.

Despite posting a commendable 1:32.040 lap time, Albon found himself out of contention, losing to Hulkenberg’s Sauber by a mere 0.042 seconds at the Bahrain International Circuit. What initially seemed like misfortune for Albon quickly turned into a nightmare as the FIA’s mistake came to light.

Hulkenberg’s lap came under scrutiny by the governing body but was not addressed until 40 minutes later, too late for Albon to reclaim his rightful spot in Q3. The delayed response from the FIA left Albon fuming as he was denied the opportunity to showcase his skills in the crucial qualifying round.

Meanwhile, Albon’s teammate, Carlos Sainz, managed to secure a place in Q3, positioning himself in 8th on the grid ahead of heavyweights like Lewis Hamilton. The blunder not only cost Albon a shot at Q3 but also potentially valuable championship points at the Bahrain GP.

As the dust settles on this controversial qualifying session, all eyes will be on Albon as he prepares to battle his way up from 16th place on the grid. Will he be able to turn this setback into a comeback on race day? Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.
