FIA addresses probe into Christian Horner’s wrongdoing

The FIA has released a statement regarding the investigation into Christian Horner’s alleged misconduct, which was brought to light after the conclusion of Formula 1. Currently, FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem and Christian Horner are under investigation for allegations of inappropriate behavior made by a female employee of Red Bull. Despite these allegations, Horner, who is 50 years old, will remain in his position as Team Principal until the verdict of the case is announced. The FIA, the governing body of F1, has addressed this serious investigation involving Horner in a statement.

The organization responsible for overseeing the sport, Red Bull GmbH, carried out an independent investigation into the allegations. The FIA has made it clear that they will not comment on the allegations until the external barrister handling the case reaches a conclusion. The FIA has emphasized the importance of maintaining fairness, integrity, and inclusivity throughout the investigation process. The statement from the sports governing body was released a day after F1’s official statement regarding the allegations against Christian Horner. However, both F1 and the FIA have refrained from providing further comments until an official verdict is published.

In December of last year, Christian Horner was accused of engaging in inappropriate sexual behavior by a female employee of Red Bull. The team offered him the opportunity to resign without undergoing an investigation, but he declined and continues to deny all allegations. Despite the ongoing investigation, Horner remains in his position as the team boss at Milton Keynes. It has been reported that he has the support of Red Bull’s majority stakeholder, Chalerm Yoovidhya. Therefore, unless he is found guilty, it is likely that Christian Horner will continue his duties. Recently, he was present at the RB-20 shakedown and car launch for Max Verstappen.

The future of Christian Horner in the sport is uncertain. If he is found guilty of inappropriate behavior, he could face severe consequences. This case has the potential to overshadow Red Bull’s campaign in 2024 and may result in significant backlash from fans if things do not go well for Horner in the coming weeks.
