Ferrari Unleashes Game-Changing Upgrades in Response to Lewis Hamilton’s Concerns

In a bold move, Ferrari has introduced a groundbreaking upgrade package for the 2025 Formula 1 season, targeting enhanced performance at the Bahrain Grand Prix. The team’s focus on boosting downforce for their struggling SF-25 car aims to propel them back into contention in the fiercely competitive field.

Despite trailing 76 points behind current leaders McLaren in the constructors’ standings, Ferrari is optimistic that these upgrades will address some of the setbacks they have faced this season. The modifications include re-profiled floor fences, adjustments to the leading edge of the floor, as well as revamped wings and rear features such as a reshaped boat tail and expanded tunnel.

Deputy team principal, Jérôme d’Ambrosio, acknowledged the significance of the upgrades but tempered expectations by labeling them as incremental improvements rather than a complete overhaul. He emphasized the importance of even the smallest performance gains, recognizing the competitive nature of Formula 1 where every fraction of a second counts.

The start of the season has been less than ideal for Ferrari, with Lewis Hamilton’s dominant win in the China sprint race underscoring the team’s struggle to replicate such success. Both Hamilton and teammate Charles Leclerc faced disqualifications during the race, raising questions about the team’s setup and performance.

D’Ambrosio addressed speculations surrounding the team’s ride height adjustments, downplaying their impact on Ferrari’s overall performance. While acknowledging the challenges posed by the regulations and setup complexities, he remained confident in Ferrari’s ability to navigate these obstacles effectively.

The upgrades come in response to feedback from Hamilton, who highlighted the team’s need for improved pace and balance in the car. Ferrari is now tasked with balancing development work on the current car with preparations for the 2026 season, a strategic challenge that requires careful planning and execution.

As Ferrari continues to fine-tune their performance throughout the season, fans and rivals alike eagerly await the team’s progress on the track. With the competitive landscape of Formula 1 constantly evolving, Ferrari’s ability to adapt and innovate will be crucial in their quest for success.
