Breaking News: Ferrari Under Scrutiny by FIA for Last-Minute Front Wing Checks Ahead of Spanish GP!

In a dramatic turn of events at the Spanish Grand Prix, Ferrari found themselves under intense scrutiny by FIA officials just 40 minutes before the Parc Fermé deadline. Mechanics from the Italian team were spotted heading towards the FIA garage with two new front wing components, sparking speculation and intrigue in the paddock.

As tensions rose and the clock ticked down to the start of qualifying, Ferrari’s Leclerc and Hamilton remained in their garage while the mechanics entered the FIA area. Witnesses reported seeing the engineers conducting flexibility tests on the front wing, a crucial component for aerodynamic performance, under the watchful eyes of FIA officials including Matteo Togninalli, the team’s track engineering director.

The garage doors closed behind the mechanics, shrouding the inspection in secrecy, leaving onlookers to wonder about the outcome of the impromptu check. After about ten minutes, one of the front wing components left the FIA garage followed by the second wing later on. It is worth noting that only two out of several components brought by Ferrari to Barcelona were subjected to this last-minute examination.

This unexpected turn of events raised eyebrows in the pit lane as Ferrari became the sole team to undergo such scrutiny just before qualifying. The purpose behind these checks remains unclear – whether a precautionary measure due to recent modifications or a cause for concern, only time will tell.

The high-stakes world of Formula 1 is no stranger to controversies and surprises, and this latest development involving Ferrari has certainly added an extra layer of intrigue to an already intense race weekend in Spain. Stay tuned as more details unfold regarding this gripping saga at the pinnacle of motorsport.
