Fred Vasseur, the man in the hot seat at Ferrari, is facing intense pressure as the iconic team struggles to keep up with its rivals on the Formula 1 circuit. With Ferrari slipping to a disappointing fourth place in the standings and only one top-three finish so far this season, Vasseur is under scrutiny like never before.

Former Formula 1 World Champion Damon Hill has not held back in his assessment, bluntly stating that Ferrari has been “left behind” and predicting that Vasseur will “feel the heat” due to the team’s lackluster performance. Hill’s comments come as Ferrari’s fans and stakeholders express growing frustration over the team’s failure to challenge for the championship, despite high expectations at the start of the season.

Vasseur, who took the reins at Ferrari in 2023, is not oblivious to the mounting pressure. He acknowledged the need for improvements and revealed plans to introduce “small upgrades” ahead of the upcoming races. The team is set to bring enhancements to the cars for the races in Imola and Monaco before a crucial rule change by the FIA comes into effect at the Spanish Grand Prix.

Despite the setbacks, Vasseur remains hopeful and trusts in the abilities of Ferrari’s drivers, Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton. He emphasized the importance of enhancing the car’s performance to match the skills of the talented duo. The pressure is on for Ferrari to turn their season around and deliver the results that their fans expect and demand.
