Charles Leclerc Demands Ferrari Speed Up to Secure 2025 F1 Championship Dreams

In a thrilling turn of events, Charles Leclerc has set the record straight, emphasizing Ferrari’s urgent need to enhance their one-lap performance with the SF-25 if they intend to salvage any hopes of clinching the Formula 1 title in 2025.

Leclerc’s outstanding performance in Saudi Arabia not only outshone his struggling teammate Lewis Hamilton but also ended Ferrari’s podium drought for the year. The Monegasque driver showcased the SF-25’s potential by executing a remarkable 29-lap opening stint, ultimately securing a well-deserved third place after overtaking George Russell.

However, despite his impressive feat, Leclerc couldn’t help but ponder on what could have been achieved had he started the race from a higher grid position. “We just need a better car,” he expressed to the media, stressing the crucial importance of qualifying to capitalize on their chances in the race.

The talented driver’s concerns about Ferrari’s competitiveness were evident when he trailed over three tenths behind Max Verstappen’s pole time earlier in the weekend. Leclerc reiterated the necessity for Ferrari to improve its single-lap pace, especially with the heightened significance of grid positions due to the increased turbulence from the 2025 cars.

Leclerc highlighted the ever-changing performance of the SF-25 at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, pointing out the complexities they face in addressing the car’s limitations. The oscillating issues faced by Ferrari have put them in a race against time to make significant improvements and stay in contention for the championship.

Despite being 52 points adrift from championship leader Oscar Piastri, Leclerc remains determined not to give up on his 2025 title aspirations. Recognizing the pressing need for Ferrari to rectify their shortcomings swiftly, he emphasized the urgency of closing the gap and winning races to stay competitive in the championship battle.

Leclerc’s unwavering spirit and drive to succeed are evident as he refuses to wait for the rule changes in 2026 to make a championship push. With a fierce determination to secure victories sooner rather than later, Leclerc and Ferrari are poised to ramp up their efforts and overcome the obstacles hindering their path to glory.

In a bid to reignite their championship hopes, Leclerc’s demands for Ferrari to enhance their performance are a clear signal of their unwavering commitment to success in the 2025 F1 season.
