Ferrari’s Struggle Continues: Leclerc Frustrated with Team’s Performance

The 2025 Formula 1 season has been a tough one for Ferrari, and their star driver Charles Leclerc is feeling the pressure. Despite his best efforts, Leclerc finds himself consistently trailing behind the competition, with the SF-25 car failing to deliver the performance needed to compete at the front of the grid.

During the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix qualifying session, Leclerc expressed his frustration, saying, “I’m not happy. I’m really not happy.” The gap between him and the pole position was a significant 0.376s, leaving Leclerc dissatisfied with the car’s performance. He cited issues with oversteer and understeer, ultimately leading to a lack of grip compared to his rivals.

Leclerc’s disappointment stems from Ferrari’s inability to make significant progress despite introducing upgrades to the car. The team had high hopes for the new floor upgrade in Bahrain and circuit-specific wing tweaks in Jeddah, but the results have not been as promising as expected. The gap to the front of the grid remains consistent, with Leclerc trailing by three to four tenths in every qualifying session since the season opener in Melbourne.

Despite his frustrations, Leclerc remains hopeful for a podium finish at the upcoming race. However, with a daunting 43-point gap in the drivers’ standings, the road ahead looks challenging for the Ferrari driver.

As the season progresses, Leclerc and Ferrari will need to work tirelessly to overcome their performance issues and close the gap to their competitors. Can they turn their season around and secure the results they desire? Only time will tell in this high-stakes world of Formula 1 racing.
