Charles Leclerc, the rising star of Ferrari, has delivered a scathing verdict on the team’s recent upgrades, declaring them still insufficient to catch up with the dominant McLaren. Despite Ferrari’s progress, Leclerc emphasized that they are far from challenging the current championship leaders.

The young driver expressed his satisfaction with the advancements made by Ferrari but made it clear that more is needed to bridge the gap with McLaren. Leclerc’s demand for excellence comes after a series of strong performances, including four podium finishes in the last six races.

Attributing his improved form to upgrades on the Ferrari car, particularly a new floor, Leclerc acknowledged the positive impact but stressed that it falls short in comparison to McLaren’s prowess. He commended the team’s efforts but left no room for complacency, urging continuous push for improvement.

Looking ahead to the upcoming Grand Prix in Hungary, Leclerc expressed optimism about maximizing the potential of the new upgrades. Currently fifth in the Drivers’ standings, he aims to apply pressure on his competitors and elevate Ferrari’s performance on the track.

As the Formula 1 season unfolds, all eyes are on Leclerc and Ferrari as they strive to close the gap with McLaren and make their mark on the championship race. Stay tuned for more thrilling developments in the world of motorsport.
