The Ferrari announced that the SF90 XX Stradale has achieved the record for the fastest lap at the Fiorano circuit in Italy for a road-legal model.
The special edition based on the SF90 Stradale, the SF90 XX Stradale, is a plug-in hybrid with all-wheel drive and high performance, which is also Ferrari’s first proposal of its kind, and is equipped with a PHEV powertrain, consisting of a 4.0 V8 turbocharged gasoline engine mounted in the rear center position; three electric motors (two independent ones on the front axle and one on the rear, installed between the V8 and the gearbox); and a 7.9 kWh lithium-ion battery capable of providing a range of 25 km in fully electric mode, available up to 135 km/h.
Positioning itself as the fastest Ferrari ever on the road in terms of acceleration, going from 0 to 100 km/h in no more than 2.3 seconds, with the 0-200 km/h being achieved in 6.5 seconds, and capable of reaching a top speed of 320 km/h.
With all these features, the SF90 XX Stradale, with Raffaele de Simone, Ferrari’s development and testing leader, behind the wheel, completed a lap at the Fiorano circuit in a time of 1m17.309 seconds, setting a new record.
The Maranello-based company has announced that the time and telemetry were recorded independently and certified by a specialized agency in motorsports.
After the record, Ferrari has already announced that the record-breaking SF90 XX Stradale will be on display at the Ferrari Museum in Maranello starting from December 15th.
