Ferrari SF-25 Disaster Unveiled: Vasseur Blames Cardile for 90% Failure

In a shocking turn of events, Ferrari’s SF-25 project is under scrutiny, with blame being squarely placed on the shoulders of former technical director, Enrico Cardile. The team principal, Frédéric Vasseur, has pointed fingers at Cardile for 90% of the project’s failures, leaving fans and Ferrari personnel alike disappointed.

The SF-25 project, which failed to meet the high expectations set, especially with the arrival of Lewis Hamilton, has left the Scuderia Ferrari team with a massive 140-point deficit to McLaren. Vasseur, however, has come to the defense of those involved in the project’s development while simultaneously holding Cardile accountable for the tumultuous start to the season.

The new technical director, Loïc Serra, only took over in October 2024, well after the majority of the work on the SF-25 had been completed under Cardile’s guidance. Vasseur emphasized, “When Enrico (Cardile) left the team, we were just below that percentage.” While not specifying the exact figures, Vasseur explained that the initial focus of any project is on laying the fundamental groundwork before delving into specifics, as issues often lurk in the details.

The intricate process of designing a Formula 1 car involves meticulous attention to every component, from the distribution to wheel positioning and overall concept. Vasseur’s refusal to assign fixed percentages to the completion of the car underscores the complexity of the endeavor, cautioning against misleading interpretations.

As Ferrari grapples with the aftermath of a disappointing SF-25 project, questions loom over the future direction of the team and the repercussions of Cardile’s alleged 90% contribution to the setbacks faced. Amidst the chaos, Vasseur’s steadfast defense of the team’s efforts offers a glimmer of hope for Ferrari fans worldwide.
