Carlos Sainz’s future in Formula 1 took a surprising turn as he signed a long-term contract with the Williams F1 team. The announcement, made on Monday, shocked the world and secured Sainz’s place with the legendary outfit for the 2025 season and beyond. As he prepares to leave his current team at the end of the season, Ferrari team boss Fred Vasseur shared a heartfelt message expressing his happiness about Sainz’s move to Williams. Vasseur commended the Spaniard’s talent and skill, highlighting his impressive performance at the beginning of the season, including a victory in Australia and multiple podium finishes.

Vasseur also spoke highly of Williams Racing, acknowledging the team’s rich history and strong legacy. He expressed confidence that Sainz will feel at home with the team, fitting in well with their culture and values. Vasseur believes that Sainz’s addition to the team will contribute to their continued success, reflecting his trust in the driver’s abilities and the beliefs of Williams.

While Sainz is set to depart Ferrari at the end of the 2024 season, Vasseur emphasized that he remains an integral part of the team for now. Ferrari is committed to giving their all in the remaining ten races of the season, working closely with Sainz until his move to Williams. They aim to end this chapter on a positive note, pushing for success until the very last race to achieve the best possible outcome.
