Antonio Fuoco achieved the fastest time in the third practice session for the upcoming 24 Hours of Le Mans race. Driving the Ferrari 499P #50, Fuoco set a time of 3:27.283, securing the first position. Kevin Estre finished in second place, just one-tenth of a second behind Fuoco, driving the Porsche 963 #6. Dries Vanthoor, who was the fastest driver in the previous qualifying session, finished third in the BMW Team WRT M Hybrid V8 #15, only 0.149 seconds behind Fuoco’s time. Sebastien Bourdais in the Cadillac V-Series.R #3 was the fastest among the Cadillacs, finishing in fourth place, followed by Kamui Kobayashi in the Toyota GR010 Hybrid #7 in fifth place. Alex Palou, Pipo Derani, Ryo Hirakawa, Mathieu Jaminet, and Nicolas Lapierre completed the top 10.

During the session, there was a red flag caused by James Cottingham crashing at Tertre Rouge in the United Autosports McLaren 720S Evo #59. This led to repairs being made to the barriers at that corner. Additionally, there was a yellow flag to allow the track debris to be collected by the marshals.

In the LMP2 category, Frederik Vesti set the fastest time in the COOL Racing Oreca 07-Gibson #47, followed by Louis Deletraz in the AO by TF Oreca 07-Gibson #14 and Nico Varrone in the AF Corse Oreca 07-Gibson #183.

In the LMGT3 category, teams focused on collecting data on fuel consumption and tire wear in long races. Inception Racing faced problems with their McLaren 720S LMGT3 EVO #70 due to a wheel sensor issue, which limited their track time. Another McLaren, driven by James Cottingham from United Autosports, also had problems after hitting the tire barrier, resulting in a red flag. Despite these challenges, Gregoire Saucy set the fastest lap time of 3:57.558 in the McLaren #59, followed by Franck Perera in the Iron Lynx Lamborghini Huracan LMGT3 EVO2 #60. The GR Racing Ferrari 296 LMGT3 #86, competing in its first 24 Hours of Le Mans, secured third place, piloted by Daniel Sera. Marco Sorensen drove the D’station Racing Aston Martin AMR Vantage #777 to fourth place, while Marino Sato in the United Autosports McLaren 720S #95 finished fifth.

AF Corse completed the highest number of laps with their Ferrari 296s, with each car completing 35 laps, totaling 70 laps. The McLaren #70 managed to complete only four laps, and the McLaren #59 completed 13 laps due to the incident.
