CEO da Ferrari discute o impacto de Lewis Hamilton em Maranello em 2025.

Lewis Hamilton has been participating in Formula 1 since 2007. The renowned driver recently signed a contract for the 2025 season and beyond, in a surprising move that is being hailed as the biggest transfer in the history of the sport. However, as Hamilton is getting older, doubts and speculations have arisen about his ability to perform at his best when he joins Ferrari next year. Ferrari’s CEO, however, dismissed these speculations, stating that racing is in Hamilton’s DNA and that he is more than capable of excelling with the team.

Both Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari have faced challenges in recent years in the Formula 1 grid. This has led to questions about whether the Maranello-based team can handle the pressure of winning the world championship in the near future. Similarly, Hamilton lost the 2021 title in the last race and has been regrouping and preparing to make a new attempt to win the championship in the future.

Recognizing Hamilton’s determination, Benedetto Vigna compared his mindset to that of a famous philosopher. Vigna stated that Hamilton’s focus on continuous progress is essential for any team to succeed. Furthermore, having a driver like Hamilton, who is a seven-time champion, would motivate the team to work harder and seek victory. With so much praise for Hamilton, he is expected to be warmly welcomed in Maranello and begin his quest for the elusive eighth title.

The season started with great hopes for the Scuderia, as they aimed to challenge their rivals at various circuits. However, their expectations were dashed during the weekend of the Chinese Grand Prix. The prancing horses failed to finish on the podium, breaking their streak of success at the Shanghai International Circuit. Additionally, the drivers expressed dissatisfaction with the car’s balance and are hopeful that improvements will be made in the upcoming races.

After the race, Charles Leclerc expressed his disappointment and highlighted two areas that Ferrari needs to address. He was unhappy with the team’s performance in China and specifically mentioned the lack of pace in the SF-24 qualifying sessions and the car’s struggles with hard compounds. Leclerc urged the engineers to find solutions to these issues.

The 26-year-old driver also emphasized the importance of updates for Ferrari’s future. The team is set to introduce a significant upgrade package in Imola, and Leclerc believes that this will greatly improve their performance.
