Ferrari Crisis Unveiled: Former Chairman Blasts Team for Lack of Leadership amid F1 Struggles

Former Ferrari chairman Luca di Montezemolo has launched a scathing attack on his ex-team, delivering a brutal blow to Lewis Hamilton’s ambitions of securing a Formula 1 World Championship title with the Italian powerhouse. Di Montezemolo’s criticism comes amidst a turbulent start for Hamilton at Ferrari, where the seven-time world champion has faced setbacks and struggles since his highly-anticipated move from Mercedes.

Despite clinching his maiden victory for Ferrari during the Sprint race in China, Hamilton has faced a rocky road with the Prancing Horse. A series of underwhelming performances, including a disqualification in Shanghai and a seventh-place finish in Jeddah, have left the British driver and fans alike frustrated and disappointed.

Di Montezemolo did not hold back in his assessment of Ferrari’s current state, highlighting a lack of leadership and passion within the team. The 77-year-old expressed doubts about Hamilton’s ability to achieve his dream of winning a championship with Ferrari, further adding to the pressure on the struggling driver.

Hamilton, who has yet to outperform his teammate Charles Leclerc on a Sunday this season, has been vocal about his challenges with the car and his own performance. Despite Ferrari Team Principal Fred Vasseur suggesting issues with confidence and adjustment, Hamilton remains determined but wary of another tough race ahead in Miami.

As Hamilton gears up for the upcoming Miami Grand Prix, all eyes will be on whether he can turn the tide and prove his critics wrong. Will he defy the odds and silence the naysayers, or will Ferrari’s woes continue to haunt the British racing icon? The drama and tension surrounding Hamilton’s Ferrari journey only seem to be escalating, setting the stage for an electrifying showdown on the F1 circuit.
