Title: Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc Demands Answers as Team Launches Urgent Investigation into Engine Woes!

In a dramatic turn of events at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, Ferrari’s star driver Charles Leclerc has voiced his frustration over a mysterious engine issue that plagued his performance, saying he “needs more info” about the intermittent problems that left him scrambling for answers. The team principal, Fred Vasseur, has stepped up to the plate, pledging a thorough investigation into the root of this mechanical enigma that could have cost Leclerc precious seconds on the track.

Leclerc arrived in Baku with an impressive track record, having clinched pole position in each of the last four editions of this challenging circuit. However, this time, his aspirations evaporated as he crashed out during qualifying, only to finish a disheartening ninth in the race. The weekend also saw Leclerc caught in a controversial team orders debacle with his teammate, the legendary Lewis Hamilton. As the race unfolded, Leclerc agreed to let Hamilton pass in hopes that the latter could charge ahead and pick off competitors on fresher tires. But the plan backfired spectacularly when Hamilton failed to return the favor, leaving Leclerc fuming.

Despite his irritation over Hamilton’s disregard for team protocols—stating that Ferrari’s “rules were not respected”—Leclerc maintained a calm exterior, insisting he didn’t “care” about missing out on a higher position after a weekend riddled with mishaps. However, the team radio didn’t lie; he was heard venting his frustrations, labeling the botched swap as “stupid” and “not fair.”

During the early laps of the Baku race, Leclerc faced a troubling engine malfunction that dramatically fluctuated his power output from one lap to the next. “Unfortunately, I had a quite big power unit issue for 10 laps in the first stint,” Leclerc disclosed, emphasizing the mystery surrounding the sudden loss of power. “We don’t know what happened, so I need more info about that.”

While he managed to regain full power towards the latter part of the race, it was too little, too late. “In the phase where I think we probably had the chance to actually overtake cars, I was just stuck in DRS [drag reduction system] trains and very slow down the straight,” he lamented. The impact was significant, as Vasseur estimated that the engine issues cost Leclerc about 0.5 seconds per lap, severely hampering his ability to make moves against his rivals.

Vasseur has made it clear that identifying the cause of Leclerc’s engine woes is a top priority ahead of the upcoming Singapore Grand Prix. “We had an issue with Charles’ engine, which we will now investigate,” he stated. “Even if it was marginal, it was enough to prevent him from being able to overtake in a straight line, which explains why we were stuck behind Lawson.”

As the Formula 1 world holds its breath, fans and analysts alike are eager to see how Ferrari will address these critical engine concerns. Will they unravel the mystery before the next race? One thing is for sure: Charles Leclerc’s season is far from over, and the stakes have never been higher!
