Ferrari Team Principal Expresses Concern Over Qualifying Performance

In a shocking revelation, the Ferrari Team Principal has voiced serious concerns over the team’s qualifying performance, highlighting the urgent need for improvement. Despite a strong showing in races, the team continues to struggle to extract the maximum potential from their car during qualifying sessions.

During the recent Grand Prix in Imola, drivers Leclerc and Hamilton displayed impressive race pace, keeping up with the frontrunners. However, their starting positions were compromised due to recurring issues in qualifying, hindering their chances of securing better results.

The Team Principal emphasized the crucial role of tire preparation in enhancing Saturday’s performance, urging the team to focus all their efforts on overcoming this challenge. The inconsistency in Ferrari’s performance from qualifying to race day has left the team management frustrated, with the Team Principal admitting, “It’s been two or three Grands Prix that have gone this way.”

Despite the strategic execution during races, Ferrari acknowledges that they do not have the fastest car on the grid. The Team Principal commended the SF-25’s pace during races but conceded that they are not faster than McLaren even when performing well. This revelation has raised eyebrows in the Formula 1 community, sparking discussions about Ferrari’s true potential this season.

The main issue plaguing Ferrari is their struggle to deliver strong qualifying laps, a problem that has persisted over the past few events. The Team Principal stressed the need to address this issue promptly, stating, “In the last 3 or 4 events, we have always had a better race pace than in qualifying.”

With the upcoming Monaco Grand Prix looming large, Ferrari faces a race against time to rectify their qualifying woes and unleash the true potential of their car. The Team Principal’s candid assessment has sent shockwaves through the paddock, prompting speculation about Ferrari’s prospects in the fiercely competitive world of Formula 1.

As the team scrambles to find solutions and improve their qualifying performance, all eyes will be on Ferrari in the coming races to see if they can rise to the occasion and challenge the frontrunners for pole positions.
