In a winning team, you don’t make changes, and after finishing as constructors’ runners-up in 2023, Ferrari AF Corse will continue with the same six drivers in the World Endurance Championship (WEC) this year. And they will be distributed among the same trios.
Therefore, the #50 499P will still be entrusted to Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina, and Nicklas Nielsen. The trio achieved four podium finishes and two pole positions, finishing third in the championship. As for the #51, it will remain in the hands of the winners of the 24 Hours of Le Mans and fourth-placed in the WEC, Alessandro Pier Guidi, Antonio Giovinazzi, and James Calado.
The Global Director of Endurance and Corse Clienti, Antonello Coletta, stated: ‘The decision to keep the drivers who competed last year with the 499P for Ferrari AF Corse in the 2024 WEC season reflects a commitment to continuity. In 2023, with these teams making their debuts in the top class of the World Championship, we achieved remarkable results, including a victory at Le Mans and six podiums in seven races. These achievements allowed us to secure an excellent position as constructors’ runners-up at the end of the year. Together, we gained experience while continuing to develop our car and demonstrate its potential. Building on these foundations, we look forward to the upcoming 2024 season with optimism, renewing our confidence in our drivers’.
