Ferrari Boss Unwavering Despite Disappointing F1 Season Start

Despite a lackluster start to the 2025 Formula 1 season, Ferrari’s team principal Frederic Vasseur remains resolute in their current approach. With Charles Leclerc securing fourth place and Lewis Hamilton finishing seventh at the Japanese Grand Prix, Ferrari is trailing behind McLaren by a staggering 76 points in the Constructors’ Championship.

Vasseur acknowledges the challenges faced by the team, citing a double disqualification in China that has compromised their car’s performance. However, he emphasizes the importance of consistency and incremental progress, drawing parallels to Ferrari’s comeback in the previous season.

Leclerc, while satisfied with his performance in Japan, expressed concern over the gap to race-winner Max Verstappen. Vasseur echoes the sentiment, emphasizing the need for improvement across multiple areas to enhance the car’s potential.

Hamilton, in his debut season with Ferrari, is grappling with a mere 15 points and fading hopes of clinching an eighth world title. He highlights the necessity for enhancements across the board and remains hopeful for a more competitive showing in Bahrain.

As the F1 circus heads to Bahrain for the upcoming Grand Prix, all eyes are on Ferrari’s ability to bounce back from a turbulent start. With the team determined to make strides in performance and close the gap to their rivals, the stage is set for a thrilling race weekend in Sakhir.
