Ferrari anuncia contratações de Serra e d’Ambrosio na F1 em vez da Mercedes.

Jerome d’Ambrosio, the Director of Driver Development at Mercedes AMG F1, will make a move to Ferrari in October. This change was confirmed by the Ferrari Formula 1 team. Loic Serra, who previously held the position of Head of Vehicle Performance at Mercedes, will also join Ferrari as Chief of Chassis Performance Engineering. Serra’s responsibilities will include overseeing Track Engineering, Aero Development, Aero Operations, and Vehicle Performance. Enrico Cardile, Technical Director of Chassis at Ferrari, will continue to lead the technical department, with Serra reporting to him.

In addition to Serra, Jerome d’Ambrosio will also be leaving Mercedes. He will take on the role of Team Vice-Director at Ferrari, working alongside Team Principal Frederic Vasseur. D’Ambrosio, a former Formula 1 driver for Marussia and Lotus, was previously the Director of Driver Development at Mercedes. He will also lead the Ferrari Driver Academy program.

Both Serra and d’Ambrosio will start their new roles at Ferrari on October 1st. This hiring is part of Vasseur’s strategy to strengthen the team by acquiring talent from rival competitors. It has been reported that Serra’s presence played a role in Lewis Hamilton’s decision to join Ferrari in 2025. On the other hand, Mercedes has also been active in the market and has acquired members from Ferrari, including Simone Resta and Enrico Sampo.
