Ferrari aims to minimize losses at Zandvoort while aiming for success at other tracks

Ferrari’s performance has been lacking, with a noticeable gap between them and their rival teams. The team principal of Ferrari has discussed their prospects for the upcoming Dutch Grand Prix, expressing a lack of confidence in their ability to perform well compared to other races. Since their victory in Monaco, Ferrari has struggled, accumulating fewer points than Red Bull, McLaren, and Mercedes in the last seven races, despite a strong start to the season.

In an effort to regain their lost pace on the track, Fred Vasseur, the team principal, has emphasized the urgent need for new parts and upgrades in the SF-24. He believes that introducing these enhancements will lead to improved performance at the tracks in Monza, Marina Bay, and Baku in 2024. However, Ferrari’s recent performances have put them at risk of falling out of contention for the championship title. They will need to make a desperate push after the summer break in order to secure victories and podium finishes.

In comparison to McLaren, Mercedes, and Red Bull, Ferrari has appeared significantly slower in recent weeks. Vasseur has acknowledged that the team’s development has suffered, resulting in hindered performance. He admitted that the top teams on the grid have been more successful in their upgrades this season, while Ferrari has struggled to unlock the full potential of the SF-24 over the past few months.

Despite accumulating 345 points after 14 races this season, a notable improvement from the previous year, Ferrari has not maintained the same level of competence they demonstrated at the beginning of 2024. This is a cause for concern for Vasseur and the team.
