Fernando Alonso fala sobre Adrian Newey se juntando à Aston Martin fofoca

Adrian Newey is highly unlikely to consider a move to Aston Martin amid rumors that he is already finalizing a deal with Ferrari. Newey’s decision to leave Red Bull for the next season caught everyone in the automotive community by surprise. The reasons for his sudden departure are still unclear, but there have been several speculations about him joining Aston Martin or Ferrari. However, Aston Martin has now addressed these rumors and presented its perspective on the matter.

There were many doubts and uncertainties surrounding Newey’s potential move to Aston Martin. However, the 42-year-old driver clarified that all the stories and rumors originated from the same unreliable source. Therefore, the credibility of these claims is questionable. Alonso also mentioned that Newey was seen at Ferrari at 12 p.m. before the alleged visit to Aston Martin.

Adrian Newey’s departure from Red Bull will certainly have a significant impact on the team’s performance under the new regulations in 2026. Furthermore, Newey’s extensive knowledge and expertise in Milton Keynes’ development will be transferred to another constructor. Aston Martin had previously expressed interest in acquiring Newey’s services after securing a deal with Honda for their power unit.

Fernando Alonso had been a highly sought-after candidate for various prestigious positions in motorsport. However, the Spanish driver demonstrated his loyalty by signing a multi-year contract with Aston Martin for the upcoming seasons. The addition of Adrian Newey to the engineering team in Silverstone could lead to a significant improvement in their performance.

When asked about his desire to have Newey working for Aston Martin, Alonso did not give a clear answer. He stated that any discussions or attempts to convince Newey to join the team would remain confidential between them.

The start of Aston Martin’s 2024 season has been noticeably different from their previous campaign. This indicates that while rival teams have made significant progress, Silverstone has struggled to keep up with the pace of development. Consequently, the team plans to introduce several updates during the season to improve their performance throughout the remainder of the year.
