Fernando Alonso revela detalhes sobre abordagem da Mercedes a Lewis Hamilton em 2024.

Lewis Hamilton has been practicing his profession with Mercedes since 2013. Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton will be wearing the iconic red of Ferrari starting in 2025. There has been much discussion within the F1 paddock about this change, and with just two days left until the first event of the Grand Prix of the year, the two-time former world champion had the opportunity to share his thoughts on the matter.

Fernando Alonso drew a comparison between Lewis Hamilton’s upcoming season with Mercedes and the one he himself experienced with Renault in 2006. Alonso changed teams the following year, and based on that, he believes that Mercedes will hide certain things from Hamilton this year.

Expanding further, Alonso stated, “Mercedes will not provide full transparency to Hamilton during the 2024 F1 season.” The 42-year-old driver’s statement clearly indicates that he believes Mercedes will conceal specific details from the British driver throughout the record-breaking 24-race calendar.

Although Fernando Alonso has made it clear that Mercedes will hide things from Lewis Hamilton this year, both parties still aim to perform at their best. Hamilton has been associated with Mercedes since 2013 and undoubtedly would like to end his time with them on a high note.

Since 2021, the Brackley-based team has struggled to provide Hamilton, who is now 39 years old, with a car capable of winning championships. However, the upcoming season may be a turning point for Mercedes as they hope to break free from their limitations with the W15.

Although most teams have kept their testing secret, everything will be revealed when the cars hit the track during this week’s Bahrain Grand Prix. Lewis Hamilton will undoubtedly strive to end his career at Mercedes with an eighth record-breaking world championship.
