Aston Martin has struggled to earn points against the top teams in this season. Veteran Formula One driver has not been experiencing a particularly challenging time this year. The Spaniard has only accumulated 49 points after 14 races for the Silverstone-based Aston Martin team.

At the beginning of the 2023 season, Aston Martin displayed impressive speed, challenging Red Bull for the lead in the championship. However, the team was unable to maintain their strong performance and has significantly dropped off during the current campaign.

Fernando Alonso has expressed his disappointment with Aston Martin’s inability to compete against the top teams this season. Alonso has stated that the team has transitioned from fighting for victories to defending against the lower half of the grid.

The 43-year-old’s best result was a fifth-place finish at the Bahrain Grand Prix, which was a lackluster performance from the otherwise exceptional Spaniard. He is now hopeful that the team will address their shortcomings and compete strongly in the second half of the season.

There have been strong rumors linking Aston Martin team principal with a move to Audi in the near future. Krack has been associated with the Silverstone-based team since the beginning of the 2022 season.

Mike Krack has denied these rumors and expressed his commitment to Aston Martin. The Luxembourgian has shown gratitude to his team for the opportunities they have given him over the years.

Aston Martin will be focused on utilizing their resources as new regulations come into effect at the start of 2026. For the current campaign, Krack will have plans to make a noteworthy comeback on the track after the summer break.
