Fernando Alonso breaks records: the astonishing journey of F1 drivers before 2026!

Title: The Countdown to Glory: How Many GPs Will Each Driver Tackle Before 2026?

As the exhilarating world of Formula 1 gears up for another electrifying season, the spotlight is firmly on the incredible statistics that define the careers of its elite drivers. With the highly anticipated Grand Prix of Australia looming on the horizon, fans are eager to dive into the numbers that tell the story of these racing legends. This year, an astounding 14 out of the 22 drivers set to hit the track have already crossed the monumental milestone of 100 career races.

The thrill of the engines revving will echo across the Albert Park circuit as it marks the beginning of 24 grueling races this season. However, this year’s championship is shrouded in controversy, with significant changes in technical regulations and the introduction of new power units sparking debate among enthusiasts. Yet, one thing remains certain: the drivers will be ready to seize their moment on the world stage.

Leading the charge is none other than the indomitable Fernando Alonso, a record-breaking titan in Formula 1 history. With a staggering 425 career starts, Alonso stands alone at the top. Remarkably, since 2001, he has competed in every season, except for 2002, 2019, and 2020. As he approaches his 44th birthday, the Spanish maestro is poised to flirt with the 450 GP mark by season’s end, with Abu Dhabi set to be his monumental 449th race.

Chasing closely behind is the legendary Lewis Hamilton, a seven-time world champion who has been a constant presence on the grid since 2007. With 380 races under his belt, Hamilton is on track to surpass 400 career starts this year. His relentless pursuit of excellence continues to inspire fans and competitors alike.

The excitement doesn’t stop there; Sergio Perez is the sole driver expected to reach the impressive 300-start milestone this season. After returning to Formula 1 last year—his first absence since 2011—the Mexican driver looks to elevate his total from 281 to an impressive 305 GPs, securing a spot in the all-time rankings just behind Jenson Button.

Meanwhile, three more drivers are set to cross the 200 GP threshold by the end of the season: Lance Stroll (189), Esteban Ocon (180), and Pierre Gasly (177). Their journeys highlight the growing depth of talent in the sport as they strive for greatness.

However, the figures tell a different story for the newcomers. No other driver is expected to join the 100 GP club this season, with Oscar Piastri falling just short at 94 races. A curious note is the shared experience of world champion Lando Norris and George Russell, both standing at 152 races. This season also introduces rookie Arvid Lindblad, who will be stepping onto the grid without any prior GP experience, ready to make his mark.

As the engines roar to life in Melbourne, the stage is set for a season filled with drama, records, and unforgettable moments. The countdown to the checkered flag has begun, and fans can't wait to see how these talented drivers will shape the future of Formula 1 before the dawn of 2026. Buckle up, because this season promises to be a wild ride!
