After being the runner-up in Formula 3 this year, Zak O’Sullivan will enter Formula 2 in 2024. He does so with ART Grand Prix, leaving Prema Racing, with whom he competed in the season that ended last September.
At 18 years old, the Cheltenham driver is one of the great hopes of British motorsport for the coming years. He is part of the Williams Driver Academy and was the champion of the GB3 Championship in 2021. Since making his debut in single-seaters, he has only failed to finish in the top two of a championship once, when he finished 11th in his debut in F3 last year.
With O’Sullivan’s entry, at least one of the current ART Grand Prix drivers will have to leave. They are Théo Pourchaire and rookie Victor Martins, and it is very likely that the first of the French drivers will have to leave the team and the championship – he is close to sealing the title and champions cannot compete in the category again.
