Formula 1 teams are gearing up for an intense battle at the Hungarian Grand Prix, with high downforce and scorching heat set to test their limits on the track.

As the development of the 2025-spec cars slows down before the summer break, Red Bull, Racing Bulls, and Aston Martin have stepped up their game with crucial updates to tackle the unique challenges of the Hungaroring circuit.

Red Bull takes the lead with a new upper front wing element, designed to enhance the front end load of the car and ensure a perfect balance with the higher-downforce rear wing. Additionally, the team has increased brake cooling ducts to combat the expected rise in brake temperatures during the race.

Aston Martin follows suit with a “more aggressive design” for its front wing flap, complementing the recent advancements made at the Belgian Grand Prix.

While other teams are focusing on optimizing their existing wings, Racing Bulls have taken a different approach by revising surfaces around the front brake drums to improve aerodynamics in that area. The team has also introduced new panels for engine cover cooling to manage the reduced airflow expected at the slower speeds of the Hungaroring.

With temperatures set to soar above 30C on Saturday, teams are preparing to unleash their widest cooling panels to prevent overheating on the track.

On the other hand, Mercedes is making strategic changes by reverting to its initial suspension package for the Hungarian Grand Prix, after experimenting with different setups in previous races.

As the teams fine-tune their cars for the challenges ahead, the Hungarian Grand Prix promises to deliver adrenaline-pumping action and fierce competition on the iconic Hungaroring circuit. Stay tuned for a showdown like no other in the world of Formula 1.
